Windows 7 Release Announcement

It was announced that Windows 7 would be officially hitting RTM status for this month, however, it's not yet revealed when will be the exact date that we can get ours. As stated in the official blog of Windowes, OEMS will be able to get it in a couple of days after the OS goes RTM, and beta testers who have subscribed to TechNet can download RTM immediately after it happens for free. For those independent hardware and software vendors, they can download it through Microsoft Connect / MSDN on August 6 2009. And also same goes for those MSDN-subscribed developers as well as IT Professionals who are registered in TechNet, but only the English language version. On the other hand, Microsoft Partner Program Gold / Certified members can also join the fun August 16, 2009 through Microsoft Partner Network portal, and Action Pack Subscribers can get it on August 23 this year, both in English language. All other language versions for other members and e groups are due out on the first week of October.
