BlackBerry Torch 9800

The smartphone segment has seen an incredible growth in recent years that having phones, which belong to the same segment does not really take the company anywhere. Blackberry phones used to remain in this rather boring way for a few years until now. Now though, they seem to have realized that this will not work amidst competition from the likes of iPhone and Android phones. Hence, Blackberry is set to launch their latest phone in the Torch series, the new BlackBerry Torch 9800.

The new BlackBerry Torch 9800 deals most of the features that have made Blackberry one of the world’s renowned makers of business phones along with some new features like multi-tasking and so. The multi-tasking function, which was not available previously, is now made possible due to the use of the latest Blackberry OS 6. Apart from being able to multi-task, the phone also has various built-in apps for social networking and a new and improved web browser.

The phone has a large 3.2 inch touch screen that has a full QWERTY keyboard underneath it. The keyboard slides out in portrait mode, but this does not make the phone uncomfortable or too large to hold. In fact, it makes the phone even better because when you do not need the keyboard, you can just slide it in, and whoa, you have made the phone much smaller. This makes it very portable whether you like to have the phone in your hand or in your pockets.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has been billed as one of the best Blackberry phones that have been made till date. The phone is set to be made available for customers from this week and is already available under a number of mobile operators in phone contract options with prices from £30-£40 per month.
